About Real Estate Mediations of Texas  ("REM")

While serving over 20 years as title insurance claims counsel, I gained a deep appreciation for the tremendous value and benefit of parties voluntarily resolving their real estate conflicts through the mediation process.  I was privileged to participate in the resolution of numerous real estate conflicts through mediation, when it seemed the conflicts were destined for trial and possible appeals. It was my positive experience with mediation that inspired the opening of Greenville Mediation Center in early 2015, after completing the first phase of mediation training in 2010 and continuing advanced training through the present.

Since the beginning, I have remained focused on bringing my real estate knowledge and practical conflict resolution experience to the mediation of real estate conflicts.  In order to emphasize the ongoing devotion to assisting parties with real estate-related conflicts, Greenville Mediation Center has changed its name to Real Estate Mediations of Texas.

As an experienced real estate attorney-mediator, I am ready to assist in resolving your real estate conflict!

Real Estate Mediations of Texas offers each party a  neutral, comfortable and confidential environment to work toward resolving their disputes.

My real estate conflict resolution experience includes hundreds of real estate and related disputes, such as legal access, adverse claims of title, boundary disputes, easements,  foreclosures, HOA, home equity, judgments,  landlord-tenant, mechanic's liens, mortgages, probate, real estate contracts, restrictive covenants and others, which were resolved through direct settlement negotiations, mediation and/or litigation.  For a sample list of other types  of disputes resolved, please refer to List of Disputes.

In addition to mediation, I practice real estate law with the firm of Adkerson, Hauder & Bezney, P.C., where I handle transactional real estate matters, as well as providing assistance with real estate litigation and appeals. For additional information about my background, education and experience, please refer to Resume.

Mediator's Role: As a neutral third party, I guide the parties through a strictly confidential process, in which I actively  listen to  each party's concerns and goals, while assisting them in the process of: (1) assessing their respective positions; (2) considering every feasible option to resolve their conflict and (3)  evaluating both the tangible and intangible benefits of settlement.  A settlement is achieved only when parties to the conflict agree to the terms and conditions of the settlement.
